It works for me if I put my cursor over such a button, disconnect my external mouse and click on the 'click' button of my laptop, which isn't part of the touchpad. As such I am sure that I'm not moving the cursor/mouse. If I click faster after eachother nothing happens, but if I wait like 0.5 seconds or more between clicks it works fine.
