Pavlos opened the ticket and wrote:

on standard nightly r14250 and also on previous, I have some troubles with YAPP.
See attached screenshot.
The station has three platforms, of which one is occupied. Following trains do not find their way into the other empty platforms, but would wait at the entry signal until train 1 comes out of platform one and the whole station is empty.

Happens to me with all station layouts with more than 1 platform.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I'm sure that earlier versions of YAPP had such a layout working.
Please check.

Thanks.

Doesn't the "Add new task" page mention in quite bright red letters that you should've attached a savegame?

No YAPP version has such problems, unless you've changed the value of the setting pf.yapf.rail_pbs_station_penalty.
It should have a value of 800. Look at the wiki if you don't know how to change it back.

It's likely you didn't do that yourself, but probably used some of the patch packs. Most of the patch pack
authors didn't bother with replicating my YAPP release notes when updating their pack which did mention when
some patch setting was changed and user intervention was required.

I found the line you mentioned in the .cfg file. It had a value of 2
I changed it back to 800 as you say, but it does not make any difference on the savegame.

I attached the .cfg file. Maybe you can spot something else wrong?

Thanks for your help.

You know, I did refer to the wiki for a reason :)

You will find the answer in http://wiki.openttd.org/wiki/index.php/YAPP# Advanced_patch_options

What is the value shown when you type "patch pf.yapf.rail_pbs_station_penalty" in the console ?

SmatZ closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Not a bug

User set too low penalty for occupied station tike.
