uplink opened the ticket and wrote:

The system: Ubuntu 7.10 (gutsy)
if create new game no have problem but if i open old savegame, openttd don't run fast game mode
the savegame is uploaded

It does run fast-forwarded, but because all of the vehicles are taking so much cpu, you won't notice the difference, because the CPU was already working 100%. Try stopping everything except the aircraft, you'll notice the difference.
