A small UFO seems to have chosen a vehicle in its depot to crash upon. It has now flown down to zero altitude and is spinning on the spot, yet can't explode unless or until I start the vehicle. So I could leave it there forever if I wanted.
I do have a before and after savegame, but they're above the upload limit. Besides, this is surely an ultra-rare edge case...
Reported version: 1.4.0-beta2 Operating system: All
Frankly I'd rather you fixed this by making UFO disasters removable entirely, or at least make it into earthly vehicles crashing. There are so many more things that could be done with disasters than the game's current selection.
There is no method to disable individual disaster types (if you meant that), since noone is interested in disasters anyway.
The behaviour of UFOs with RV in depots is the traditional behaviour. But since noone is interested in disasters noone has thought about what the UFO should do instead.
Unfair generalisation to say 'noone' is interested in disasters. /I'm/ interested in disasters. I'd appreciate why if /devs/ weren't interested though. Many people who might otherwise use them probably turn them off because the UFO disasters in particular are silly.
Can't see any specific request here. If it's a bug report it could be re-opened, but the described behaviour is likely just a quirk of original TTD. Closing as part of Flyspray clean up, thanks.
