Brumi opened the ticket and wrote:

It is an issue with quite a lot of NewGRFs which use the DOS palette as default. In the NewGRF settings window, I switch the palette to Windows, but when I start OpenTTD for the next time, the palette is reverted to DOS.
Could you save the palette I chose? (same thing with NewGRF presets as well)

Reported version: 1.1.1
Operating system: Windows

Reason for closing: Won't implement

I am not aware of any benefit to changing the palette on a newgrf. Any newgrf that requires that changing by the player is defective. Not a current goal for OpenTTD.
