Callback 15E is intended to complement cb 1D.

This new cb allows a wagon to determine if it can be attached to a consist (cb 1D does a similar thing, but lead vehicle determines attachment).

This task depends upon

it isnt possible to use 'type' 82 on a wagon to do this? (-1 * 0 02 00 ID 82 0C 00 FF .......)

What's the related item in 1D? The wagon trying to attach? If that's the case, we missed it :o

For both callbacks the main vehicle is the wagon and the related vehicle is the front engine.

(CB 1D is a very special case, which is called for the engine's action3 but with the wagon as main vehicle for the variables.)

Thought so :) When I tried, I couldn't see a way to have 1D do what 15E does.

as i assume you dont want to, for example, attach a coal waggon when a pax coach is in the consist, i would think that useing 'type 82' and callback 1D on the pax wagon you would not be able to attach the coal wagon. I have not tested this tho, but it seems 'logical' :D

He :) Might work.

But it means (for example) if I want to control how a wagon in my set attaches to a consist, I have to go and enable cb 1D for *every* other vehicle that it shouldn't attach to in *every* other trainset that exists. It's possible, but unlikely :D
