Let me add here a few things which I gathered in the last months (not necessarily comprehensive though)

- access to grf management not on a basis one grf, one user, but have the possibility to define "managers" and "developers" categories. "Managers" can add new managers or developers. Both can edit all parts of the newgrf. The person who makes a new entry automatically is a manager of it.
- add a download capability via a web interface
- add the possibility to sort the entries using a search like it is possible ingame with the descriptive keywords which can be provided. Maybe instead or additionally define a set list of possible keywords which can be checked (like trains, road vehicles, ships, aircraft, houses, industries, landscape, infrastructure, misc). The categories of grfcrawler might be a guide there.
- provide the possibility to have two versions for download in a project: a version which works with OpenTTD stable and one which already incorporates features still unique to OpenTTD trunk (and allow OpenTTD also ingame to download both, if the minimum and maximum version requirements are met)
- allow in the terms of service "community accounts" so that a group of grf developers can share one account which is used for their grf. Not sure whether it's sensible, but it will help some grf making groups, too.

-Feature-request: allow to sort the list of NewGRF wrt to Name, GRF-ID, Downloads, License. GRF-ID can be useful, if you are designing a new NewGRF and want to make sure that a GRF-ID isn't taken yet (just happened yesterday with FIRS).

- Display which tags the downloads have: ex. for AIs: tram, truck, train and the others proposed on the forum.
- Some short summaries of the different license options, so that I ex. dont have to go look up the various CC- licenses

Add requirement for uploading the source for licenses that require that and the possibility for the custom license.

Ability to for a given content item be able to:
* See which items that depend on this item (eg for AI libraries to see which libraries + AIs that depend on them)
* See which dependencies an item has (eg for an AI or AI library to see which libraries it needs)
