when the last wagon is not of default length, and the train turns around, the last wagon is considered of length 1, and the train ends up sticking out of the station by however much the length of the last wagon was reduced. if the tile directly outside the station is a junction, this can often lead to the train going the wrong way, or bypassing a signal, if the signal is directly outside the station.

Are you still experiencing this in the latest nightlies? Please attach a screenshot/savegame explaining the problem.

top train shows train just as it gets to the end of the line.
bottom train shows train just after turn around, as you can see, it has jumped backwards.
