Trains always go to nearest depot, even if it is on opposite route.It is a big problem for me, especially with complex one-way networks, and because of that they end up on other side of the map.
It would be great if option to search for depot only on current route could be implemented.
This need is met by giving player explicit control over where trains go via depot orders. That's more reliable than some interim "on the train's route" solution which would be (1) too magical - trains don't actually have fixed routes, the pathfinder determines the route as the train travels the network, and it's non-deterministic (2) also prone to direct failure with conditional orders.
