Please allow only one airport in town for every player as configuration option (count of players = max. airports).

When I play against AI then it often has two airports in town. Configuration option about noise limit will not help.

Reported version: Version?
Operating system: All

This would also be nice for multiplayer games. I just don't think its a bug ;)

I have written a patch, which should do this: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=72626

Changed status - there's a patch in forum thread. Idea seems maybe legit to me, although it's a current goal to reduce advanced settings, not add more.

Can't comment on the patch :)

Alternative to patching: use town noise limits, and the OGFX+ Airports grf which disables noise limits.

andythenorth: Noise limits - It is no solution because if AI creates airport in city you don't create airport near city but far from the city. AI will profit but you no.

This is reason why I create this feature request.

This is wantable for playing with AI and for multiplayer game.

AI: I would recommend choosing a different AI, that doesn't build multiple airports per town.

Multiplayer: it's not a current goal for OpenTTD to add settings to moderate competitor behaviour and/or griefing.

The current goals include reducing the number of settings where possible, to ease overall development of the game, and make it easier for players to understand the many many settings. ;)

andythenorth closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Bug in custom AI

Flyspray clean up, this can be solved by using a different AI that doesn't spam towns with airports. Closing. Thanks for the suggestion :)
