here's an idea:
due to the invention of e-mail, the volume of 'snail mail' has reduced in the past years.
Would it be an idea to adjust the economy logic in OpenTTD in such a way that after 2005, the volume of mail offered by the towns reduce by 5% every year.
After a few years, the amount of mail to be transported will be so low, that it becomes too costly to use trains, and the player has to take action to respond to the new situation
