It would be a logical thing to make tunnels and bridges more symmetric by allowing sloped tunnel entrances on flat tiles. The interface for building tunnels could be the same as the one for bridges.

andythenorth closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Won't implement

Would need new sprites for tunnels. There would also be substantial visual clipping issues with vehicles entering/exiting the tunnel entrance due to the slope foreshortening the need to clip.
