Hello,
I have recognized some weird behavior in my game (2048x2048), some stations have a rating of a non delivered good, this may have resulted from wrongly guided trains, however,
no "wrong" cargo is being reinforced by a train!
The rating decreases but never vanishes and/or reaches 0%, instead at one point it increases again (lets say drops down to 4% then increases to 10 to 15%), but observing shows that there is not a trains with proper cargo coming in,
this may be an interference with a newby but different station which accepts this cargo
the consequence is that the station takes a load of the produced cargo despite no train will ever come to pick it up,
so there is always waiting cargo and bad a rating,
I want to remove that cargo from the station, but this is not happening
I am playing with build r24347 and also tried the latest...
You get a penalty for too much cargo, but a 'bonus' for the maximum speed of the last train. What I expect to happen is that it first gets quite a bit of cargo, the station rating drops, then the cargo sent to the station decreases and the cargo decay kills most of the cargo going from a massive penalty for amount of waiting cargo to a 'bonus'. This will lead a station rating higher than 0.
Once a station accepts a cargo it will never stop accepting that cargo.
not sure if this is narrow minded, it is not about the station accepting cargo, rather it is about providing cargo from a nearby producing industry
however, this was one of my guesses too, the rating and amount of cargo is decreasing at one point rating starts to increase, later the cargo is increasing too when rating became a little bit better...and this in a loop forever ^^
there are many trains moving through that station, usually, only dropping off cargo, which will be processed further by the nearby industry
i think the arriving trains of different cargo increase the rating and so the amount of cargo, despite it is a different one, I would consider that as a bug, would you?
There is an item on the TODO list ( http://wiki.openttd.org/Todo_list ) about the "stop accepting cargo" issue.
Other than that there does not seem to be any issue.
