FS#5162 - openttd 1.2 slowdown

I have notice that for some unknown reason, openttd just slow down bad by itself, this happen in the title game.
I have tried remove any newGRF (this won't influence the title game, but maybe influence some openttd internals) but the problem remain.

I didn't saw that behavior while playing the game, but i'm not playing any real game just some few part of it while working on my AI. So it's just a weak disturbtion, but might hide another more serious bug that could appears in game later. The openttd window isn't fullscreen as i like to keep an eye on it while working, i'm not sure about the current resolution, but bellow 1680x1050

I'm still using my old openttd.cfg from the 1.1.5 (well from a farer version, but 1.1.5 wasn't doing that or i didn't notice it)
The openttd i use is a downloaded source version build with my system using gcc 4.4.3 (could provide all tools and libs versions use if needed) with a gentoo patch i will provide.

Here's some files (all top output are get from top | grep openttd)
toyland.txt is output from running the toyland savegame
titlegame.txt is output from running the titlesave game (notice cpu goes mad)
Toyland test after 75 years.sav is get from forum AI test, where many AI are at work on a 2048 map with many many vehicle handle by openttd
testtile.sav is a copy from opntitle.dat

2048.txt is output from titlescreen with max_sprite_cache_size = 2048 set in openttd.cfg as Eddi|zuHause sugggest on irc

cpu now can hardly reach 20% !
virtual memory use by openttd increase to 595M

But it looks this really solve it.
