There's some concern about texts being cut off in the "Advanced Settings" window - this seems to be more or less of a problem depending on language. Yes, the window can be resized manually but it's best if that's not necessary. I measure the default width of that window as 450px, so even with the resolution set to 640*480 there is plenty of room to increase that.

For example, the window would need to be about 594px wide to show all texts in full using the Croatian translation; for the Turkish Translation it would need to be more than 640px. Now those are some more extreme examples, and I appreciate that there's no "one size fits all" solution, but any increase would surely be of benefit. Even the English translations - which I assume are used more than any other - need at least 506px using OGFX.

That it, I can write a long and wordy English sentence expressing something, I can also write a shorter one.

Given that some languages already have a too wide window, I don't see many options to extend further. Poking the translators to reduce the sentence length might be a better solution here.

And, as I can remember, there are tooltips available for each string. If you need to show more info that fit into width - make tooltip.

Thanks for report Paul. Most practical solution is to rely on translators to do the right thing here for each translated language. I can't think of any practical measures to enforce or encourage that that aren't TMWFTLB. Rely on peer pressure and/or translators scratching their own itch.

Flyspray clean up: more than 5 years old, and not obvious what should be done with this next, so closing. If this offends, discuss with andythenorth in irc. Thanks.
