If I set the climate availability property of an object to 0 (i.e. not available in any climate), it still shows up in the object purchase list (just not buildable).

This is inconsistent with the behaviour of vehicles, while the NewGRF specs lead to believe that behaviour should be identical to vehicles.

Attached is a test grf. The first object on the list should not be available in any climate. Four other objects (e.g. the gantries) come in two versions, but only one version should be available at any time depending on drive side setting.

Tested in r23785 and 1.2.0-beta1 (both on win32).
