When maximum train length is specified and an attempt is made to replace a wagon with a longer one; autoreplacement fails despite wagon removal being activated.
What appears to happen is that the replaced wagons are tested against maximum train length before wagon removal is done; meaning that the intermediate train (which will since be cut back to size) is reported as being too long; and the replacement fails.
This is mostly relevant when using NewGRFs that have multiple generations of wagons in different lengths (UKRS springs to mind).
Reported version: trunk Operating system: Mac OS X
Technically this also happens in older versions, although it is much less visible as there it would only happen when replacing single headed engines with dual headed engines when at the vehicle length limit.
