planetmaker opened the ticket and wrote:

It seems that whenever a rail type define piece of rail is drawn above the coastal slope, the usual slope is drawn instead of the coastal ground tile. The same effect happens with UK narrow gauge, SwedishRails and Nutracks.

See the attached image for a comparison left vs. right part.
