In the game's station handling, cargo gets split across the two stations with the highest ratings. This can be a problem if you have 2 stations near an industry, and accidentially request the cargo from the wrong station. The idea I have is that, after opening the Ratings menu on the station information window, the list is instead a list that you can select elements on, and a couple more buttons will appear, labeled "Stop Cargo" and "Sell Cargo".

The "Stop Cargo" button would effectivly remove the cargo from the Station Rating list, and, as a result, remove the divident of the cargo that that particular station recieves. The "Sell Cargo" button will sell all cargo at the station of that type as though it was moved a distance equal to the station's cachment area in an infinite time, mainly just to remove all the cargo from the station.

These features would help greatly for some jobs:

"Stop Cargo" will increase the amount of cargo that the other stations get
"Sell Cargo" can be used with "Stop Cargo" to erase the cargo history from the station
"Sell Cargo" can be used to immediatly sell all cargo from a station if it is too much, and effectivly reducing the rating

Reported version: Version?
Operating system: All

Ok... Little precision... no one sells nor buy cargo in TTD/TTO world
You merely transport cargo.
What you are describing can easily be achieved by not dropping anything at that station for a while.
No need to add yet another type of order.
Well... That is my opinion anyway

They wouldn't be another order type, but an option that you manually execute in order to either stop that cargo from arriving at the station from nearby industries, or to dump all cargo of a specific type out of the station, to help increase transport rating. It gets executed from the station list, not the order list.

andythenorth closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Won't implement

Flyspray clean up: more than 5 years old, and not obvious what should be done with this next, so closing. If this offends, discuss with andythenorth in irc. Thanks.
