The option -i for sed does not seem to work always as expected by the build script. See the output in my bash for an analogous command:

~/ottd/fixing> sed 's/GRF/GRIN/' -i bin/data/orig_dos.obg
sed: -i: No such file or directory

The attached patch shuffles the arguments to sed so that it works for me. It additionally enables md5sum generation on mac systems which don't have md5sum available.
