Hello,
is it possible to create a menu like in Anno 1404, so when you right click on the map a little menu pops up with some usefull tools?

The best feature would be, if the user can create his own set of tools (like in Anno 1404). One problem (by making the example screenshot) is, that some buttons are wider than the normal buttons. And sorry for the awkward pipette :P

Sincerely
xZise

I think it would be possible, but I don't think it will happen. It would break the feel of OpenTTD's interface, as well as break the right-click tooltips, and possibly break the map button's submenu. I am pretty sure there are more things that would break in addition, so I don't think this is a good idea.

Hmmm on the normal map background are no tooltips. Some tasks in Anno 1404 also must done with the right mouse click (e.g. moving a ship to a position). So it would only work, if no "special action" is selected. And what "map buttons's submenu" do you mean?

Sincerely
xZise

PS: I don't mean the minimap ;)

Don't forget that right mouse button is also used to move current view. I agree with TruePikachu, it would probably cause more problems than it fixes (helps?).

Hmmm in Anno 1404 you can also move the current view ;) So when you rightclickt and don't move the mouse its the quickmenu? And it won't fix anything, because its a feature request ;) Please test it with Anno 1404, if it possible (is there a demo online?).

I agree with TruePikachu.
It certainly does not feel like a ttd interface.
It's more an hybrid of something...
Once again, an attempt to import something from another game.
