I found creating bridges to be more work than necessary. The window to select the type of bridge to use tended to appear far away from the mouse pointer. When I got the mouse pointer there, the good bridges are at the bottom, and since the default size is quite short, I generally scroll down.

The attached patch makes two changes to the Select Bridge window:

1. Instead of using the default window placement, it appears under (or close to) the mouse pointer.
2. The default sort order is changed so that the fastest bridges are at the top.
