to reproduce the quick way

  1. start ottd
  2. make new scenario with a town in it
  3. save scenario
  4. play scenario, build diagonal train tracks around it, like the picture, but with space between the town and the tracks
  5. save game, rename .sav to .scn
  6. edit scenario, and expand the town

long method involves lots of waiting

andythenorth closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Won't implement

LordAro: andythenorth: kill it.

Cleaning Flyspray, so closing. This one is evidence of need for scripted control over town growth (probably newgrf, or some new layer - GS is too slow and doesn't respond to callbacks.)
