For some reason the train in the depot goes straight through the red light and into the train in the station. I had just changed the signal type from a small signal (the standard TTD ones) to the PBS signal and the moment I did that the train started to go through the light, so I turned it around and made it go back into the depot. However when it comes out it does exactly the same.

One thing I did notice, I forgot to build the angled track so it can get into the other platform... don't know if that's connected?

I can tell you why the train continues with the behavior: The platform is the only reachable platform for the train and
for some reason the second train does not have a path reservation anymore and as such is invisible to path signals.
I can't tell you why the second train doesn't have a reservation though, as that has already happened in your save.

General note (not relevant to the bug): The signal lights of path signals should face the platform and not the other way
because otherwise it won't work like you want it to work.

I can't recall if the 2nd train was new or not, it may well have been. Should be possible to replicate the steps, I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks for the comment, I always get them the wrong way round!

Just been able to recreate it from scratch.

Build a station as in the attached screenshot, note there isn't the horizontal small track that joins the depot to the 2nd platform.

You also need to build one of the signals as a default TTD signal (as in screenshot).

Build two trains, tell them to load at the station until full.

Send the first train, it'll go into the station fine.
Send the second train. It'll go out of the station and queue up by the occupied platform.

Realise that you built the wrong signal and CTRL+Click to change the type to PBS. At which point the train will go through the red light into the station & crash into the 1st train.

michi_cc closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Fixed

In r20156 as long as the block signal in question is a one-way block signal.
