The industry placement routine is capable of tiling industries together extensively without gaps. This is a gameplay problem (see attached screenie).

I can work around this in nfo, but handling it correctly for each possible layout will require significantly baroque code, and it's not likely to happen. Other workarounds (such as tinkering with industry probability) also suck.
