Roujin opened the ticket and wrote:

Tested with the setting Vehicles->Autorenew->Autorenew when vehicle is [value] months before/after max age.
This settings allows values from -12 to +12, in steps of 1.

If the value currently is -2 or less, pressing the "Increase"-Button will not increase it by one, but instantly set it to the maximum (12).
