When a train has reserved a path past a depot but hasn't passed the depot yet, it cannot find that particular depot when clicking on the send to depot button. Would it be possible to change that behaviour so that trains can revise their chosen path when the depot-button is clicked so that it will actually find a depot along a reserved path? Ofcourse it should only change it's reservation if it's safe to do so. Otherwise it may continue to the next reachable depot.
See example attached. When clicked on the send to depot button the train will locate a depot at the other side of the map rather than the one right in front of it.
Thanks for this. There's been no activity on this for some time, and as it stands, it doesn't look likely that it will go any further. I'm closing it as we try to keep the issue count low for OpenTTD, it helps us focus on things that are important and fun. Feel free to discuss in irc or request re-opening if you disagree. Thanks for contributing!
