I have a game with a ludicrous number of road vehicles, and I notice that in one place on the map, when a vehicle breaks down -- instead of the vehicles nicely stopping where they should forming an orderly queue, they instead "pile up" on each other on the same square. I have attached a savegame where this effect happens a lot. Look for the pink sign that says "<-- PILEUP", and watch what happens.
Tested on 0.6.0-beta2 on Mac OS X. Have not been able to test in the latest revision yet since I'm hosting a network game still in progress.
There's no sign with '<-- PILEUP' or anything like that in the savegame.
Furthermore road vehicles driving through broken down and stopped vehicles is a 'feature' that makes it impossible to block someones vehicles indefinitely.
You're right. I attached the wrong save game -- a save I made right before I made that sign. Oops.
Here's the proper savegame.
This is more than vehicles driving through stopped and broken vehicles (a behaviour I have not observed) -- the vehicles are stopping, but they're all stopping on the same square.
I wonder, could the stopped down and broken vehicles be pushed few pixels to the side, so it would look like they are staying on side of the road? Then it won't look that bad when other vehicles "drive through" them.
