I propose to use the CTRL button single way for removal of this element for the stations, bridges, signals, etc.

And ALT button for the "alternative" - presignals, one way road, rail upgrade...

IMHO now we have mix, which is not very useful for intuitive use

Reported version: 0.5.3
Operating system: All

ALT + click is not a good choice, since most *nix-based window managers interpret that to you mean that you want to move the window.

main idea to use 1 modifier button 1 way... may be some other key like middle mouse button to remove, ctrl to alternate, or etc..

I don't see the reason for this.
CTRL is default for remove things, except at the rail signals. There it is used for autocomplete and change signals, cause of limited room for any other possibility.
SHIFT for get the information how much money is needed for the action.

To the other possible key combinations:
ALT may cause problems with *nix-based systems.
2nd and 3rd mouse button isn't availible at apple products by default AFAIK.
3rd mouse button is often used on *nix-based systems as the paste shortkey (like ctrl + v).

I just want to clear signals & stations with the same way as tracks... and to create «altering» key modifier for presignals etc. and to make that keys same in all gaming issues

I guess it can be made so that the station removal can be performed with a CTRL.
But the problem with signals is that the CTRL controls the type of signal used. And everyone is used to that. So changing a known behaviour out of consistency might not be a good idea.
Unless, of course, we'll all point out Fragster for this as soon as a complain comes around ;)

Rubidium closed the ticket.

Reason for closing: Won't implement

As said, ALT can't be used due to it being used for moving the window by quite a few window managers.
