as you may or may not know, newer graphics cards can use duel screening of upto 2048x1536 each, and some new screens run at resolutions above this 2048x1536 limit. for example, the 30" screens use 2560x1600.
when i tried to run OTTD on my desktop computer, after upgrading to a new 20" TFT LCD and using my old 19" CRT as a secondary, both running resolutions of 1600x1200 for a total of 3200x1200, OTTD just wouldn't have it. so i manually entered the resolution into the config file, to find that on the second screen, 2/3ish of the screen had my desktop background image on it...
these new 6 pannel screens(requiring 3 duel DVI output graphics cards)(http://digitaltigers.com) look awsome, and have resolutions of around 7360x1600(at the widest) to around 4800x2800 at an average.
so, my request is, to change:
MAX_SCREEN_WIDTH = 2048,
MAX_SCREEN_HEIGHT = 1200,
to atleast 3200x1600, but preferably higher to allow anyone using newer screens, or very large screens, or any kind of large/multi screen combination to run at the native high resolution.
a limit of 10240x7680 sounds reasonable.
